HI! I'm Paolo Diana 😀

My particular story in Rally began in 2000, when after having attended the special stages for years with a hint of envy, I decided to throw myself into this sport with open arms, without having the slightest idea of what I was doing.

At the time, the only gateway for me was to optimize on costs. Hence the idea of the Fiat 131, it was a car that no one used, simply because it wasn't fast!

I spent sleepless nights in my garage, I emptied it to make it lighter, I installed the minimum amount of equipment necessary for racing, and a few hours later I wrecked it 😂

What has always attracted me to the Rally is the emotion that a car arouses as it passes by, my goal was not the stopwatch, but to give it everything I could to make someone smile and exalt.

With this mentality, I simply continued to play my game, which was to improve the 131 with hoses, welding and the few parts I could afford as upgrades. Without forgetting that I still didn't know how to drive the way I wanted, so I tried to improve myself together with the car, and in the end it worked.

​

In recent years I have managed to participate in my favorite events and come into contact with many of you, experiencing success that I never expected. But since we're here, let's keep dancing!

In 2024 I founded Gang31, the evolution of my adventure. Gang31 is managed together with my gang of crazy collaborators, to support each other in our activities: from web to engineering (a word we thought we'd never used). What's nice is that Gang31 is you too, it's all of us: if you enjoy when a car passes, you're part of the gang.
